Julie is a life long storyteller: a.k.a. "stretcher of truth".  She listened to her grandmothers and mother tell stories throughout her growing up years, and she told stories to her sisters, cousins and imaginary brother.
As well as a storyteller, she has been a mother, grandmother, teacher and librarian.  Julie, who is a member of the National Storytelling Network, Rocky Mountain Storytellers, Storytellers of New Mexico, Florida Storytelling Association and the Tampa Bay Area Storytelling Guild, has taught storytelling classes for the Monte Vista, CO, and Alamosa, CO, school districts. Every other summer she teaches a storytelling class in the Library and Information Sciences department as an adjunct faculty member at Denver University.
In 1987, she was a member of the last Colorado Sorytellers on Tour.  And in 2008, she traveled to China with a delegation of storytellers to learn about storytelling in China.
Julie attends a storytelling swap in Taos, NM, each month.
